Port Harvey, West Cracroft Island (2nd time)

Paul went to retrieve the crab trap to discover a full house! They only problem was they were female or too small. Back in the water they went. We pulled anchor and headed out to Johnstone Strait.

The winds were light initially, but started to build as the day progressed. As the winds picked up to 10kts we set the sails and had a relaxing sail toward Port Harvey. We had been monitoring the whale watcher channel and heard very little activity in the straits. As we approached Havanna Channel, just west of Port Harvey we saw blowing water, tall fins and a small pod of Orca. They came upon us quickly, surfacing and diving through the swell. It was the perfect ending to a nice run out of the Broughtons.

Entering Port Harvey we anchored off the marina and Paul set the trap. There were a few boats at the marina and another sailboat anchored off our stern. We went to bed thinking of crab and George. George runs the marina and makes the very best cinnamon rolls we have found since departing Seattle on May 8th. Tomorrow morning we will go see George.
