Sargeants Bay, Mainland BC

Early this morning the weather report favored heading north sooner rather than later. We jumped into action (meaning Janet. I was still in my morning lounge wear and hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee when I heard the motor fire up) and departed Snug Cove with 15- 20 knot NW winds in the Strait. Talos IV once again sailed without fault taking 2+ ft swell and mod confused chop. The current and wind were in opposition. It was good to see she handled it without problem. Our en route time was 6 hours but we only sailed for an hour or so. With winds off the nose, current and increasing swell we clawed our way north to Sargeants. The bay was empty! We chose our spot, dropped anchor and called the furry crew topside for a kitty kibble party. (The crew gets a small crunchy treat whenever we finish for the day.)
